香り、味わいともに、果実味が支配的です。ミディアムボディでエレガントですが程よい凝縮感と深みを感じます。熟してよく溶け込んだタンニンと穏やかな酸味のバランスが良く、このエリアのスタイルや特徴が良く表れています。

・シャトー・サント・マリー / ヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュ・ルージュ 2018
紫がかった濃い深紅色。凝縮したベリーの香りで、力強さと柔らかさを兼ね備えた厚みのある味わいです。

・ジム・バリー / ザ・バリー・ブラザーズ・シラーズ・カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン 2018
チェリーリキュール、ブラックベリー、プラム、アニスシード、スパイスのアロマが表れ、スミレのような花の特徴が浮かび上がります。チェリー、プラム、ラズベリーのジューシーな赤い果実の風味にほのかな土とハーブの特徴、そしてしなやかなタンニンをもち、余韻の長いフィニッシュに続きます。

Lovely balance between supple fruit and savory structure on the nose. The palate has cherry, tobacco, spice and tar notes, leading onto chewy, textural tannins. A lovely wine and great value!

- Alois Lageder / Riff Merlot Cabernet 2017
Fruit driven in both aroma and flavour. Medium-bodied, with good intensity and depth on the palate though elegant. Harmonious. Balanced with ripe, well integrated tannins and mild acidity. Clear reference in style and character to its origin.

- Chateau Sainte Marie / Vieilles Vignes Rouge 2018
Beautiful intense and lively color with purple tints. Aromas of red fruits, delicately spiced. A beautiful structure in the mouth, rich and powerful, which will blend with time.

Just as the two previous generations brought new and innovative viticultural and winemaking ideas to Jim Barry Wines, we are determined to forge our individual mark. We have taken inspiration from our family’s history to create this wine. Our two favorite varieties, Shiraz and Cabernet, were blended to deliver a contemporary expression of this traditional Australian style.

This wine offers a cool scent of black cherry and licorice and a noble rusticity to its very ripe, plush flavors of black raspberry and spices. There is good energy from its saline minerality and a note of granite. Broad tannins won’t prevent early enjoyment.
