11967年トム・カリティが西オーストラリア州のマーガレット・リヴァーのウィリヤブラップに設立したヴァス・フェリックスは、現在1987年よりオーナーとなったホルムス・ア・コート家により運営されています。
世界の中でも孤立したワイン産地であるマーガレット・リヴァーは、古い土地と独特の海岸線が特徴です。オーストラリア大陸の南西部、四角形の半島がインド洋に迫り出す形で位置しており、内陸部は砂漠になっています。地中海性気候で、夏と冬の寒暖差が極端に変化せず、ブドウの生育に理想的な気候となっています。特に世界レベルのカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンとシャルドネを生み出す銘醸地です。
マーガレット・リヴァーの砂利質のローム土壌は世界最古の土壌として知られており、その特徴は乾燥して痩せた土地、適切な排水機能が挙げられます。地域の中でも最も古いホーム・ヴィニヤードを含む各畑をヴァス・フェリックスは綿密に管理しています。異なるテロワールを持つ独特な土壌、地形やマイクロ・クライメイト（海・風・地形等の影響により局地的に天気や環境が変わること）など、それらの要素がブドウ品種の多様な個性を持つ精緻なワインの味わいへと繋がっていきます。ワイナリーはサステナブルな農業も実践しており、畑における生物多様性や環境への責任を持ったブドウ栽培を心掛け、NASAAのオーガニック認証も申請中です。チーフワインメーカーのヴァージニア・ウィルコックはワイン醸造における人的介入を最小限に抑えることにより複雑で精緻な土地の味わいを表現するワインを生み出しています。トム・カリティ（カベルネブレンド）とヘイツベリー・シャルドネがワイナリーのアイコンワインとして知られています。

Established in 1967 in Wilyabrup, Southern Australia by Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix is Margaret River's founding wine estate. Today, it is owned and operated by the Holmes à Court family, who acquired it in 1987.
One of the most isolated wine-making regions in the world, Margaret River is renowned for its ancient terrain and remarkable coastline. It is located in the south-west corner of Australia, positioned on a square-faced peninsula jutting into the Indian Ocean, and backed by desert. A Mediterranean-style climate, lacking extreme summer and winter temperatures, provides ideal growing conditions, particularly for the development of elegant, world-class cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay.
The gravel-loam soils of Margaret River are the oldest in the world - dry and lean, they provide optimum drainage. Vasse Felix has four scrupulously managed vineyards, including Home Vineyard, the region's oldest. Each has been selected for its unique soil structure, topography and microclimate, with the different terroirs making for a diverse range of grape characteristics. The estate supports sustainable viticulture, through a strong focus on biodiversity and responsible farming practices. Organic principles have been adopted across all four vineyards, and NASAA organic certification is underway. With a fierce commitment to quality, acclaimed Chief Winemaker, Virginia Willcock, crafts extraordinary wines with minimal intervention - complex, precise and site-expressive. Icons include the Tom Cullity (cabernet blend) and Heytesbury Chardonnay.
