「多産に苦しめられた後に多くのワイナリーが早期のボトリングを余儀なくされ、ネズミ香に足を引っ張られるという芳しく無い結果が散見されたこのビンテージを今頃リリースして来る事にジャスパー・ボタンの落ち着いた腰をご理解頂ける筈です。彼が誇るビオディナミの畑はオーガニックを徹頭徹尾貫いた父親から譲り受けた一族の宝。中でも50%の全房発酵を経て生まれたこのキュヴェは選ばれた2畝から誕生した彼の傑作です。「ゼロ」である事が信じられない美しさがあります。ジャスパーはアントンの元で5年もアシスタントをしていたんですが、あれだけ心変わりの多い師匠も元で辛抱強く学びの姿勢を崩さず耐え忍んでいた訳で、その忍耐力がワインを「待つ」事が出来る様に助けていてくれるのだなと感じます。世界的浮世絵修復画家である父から受け継いた芸術感性も非常に大きな影響を与えているとは思いますが、2016以降オーストラリア国内でナチュラルワインの人気に影を落とした影響を感じさせない彼のスタイルは途轍もない可能性を感じさせてくれます。
