For four generations the Mondavi family, headed by the late, legendary Robert Mondavi, has crafted world-class wines in California. In 1999, Robert’s son Michael launched Michael Mondavi Family Estate, a heritage-driven portfolio of artisanal wines. Emblem represents the continuation of this visionary commitment and the passing of the torch to the next generation. Under the Emblem label, Michael’s children, Rob Mondavi Jr. and Dina Mondavi, collaborate to produce a range of approachable, distinctive wines from the Napa Valley that successfully marry prestige and affordability.
The Mondavi family has always championed cabernet sauvignon as Napa Valley's premier grape, and the siblings’ two modern expressions form the core of the Emblem range. Their standout, single-vineyard offering is crafted from grapes grown on stone-lined terraces within the family’s Oso Vineyard, nestled between the peaks of Ink Grade and Howell Mountain. In keeping with Mondavi family traditions, the vineyard is farmed in accordance with strict sustainable and organic standards. The wine is long-lived and highly structured.
All the wines in the Emblem range show great integrity, balance and sense of place - each has its own unique personality, yet simultaneously honours the revered Mondavi family name.
