Situated in the appellation of Brouilly, the southernmost of the Beaujolais crus, Frédéric Aublanc is tiny at just 7 hectares. Frédéric’s family has farmed vines here (and also in Burgundy and Champagne) for over two hundred years. Frederic farms his plots organically and crafts his wines traditionally, with semi-carbonic fermentations and minimal intervention. These are excellently crafted expressions of Brouilly’s hilly and varied terroirs. Produced in small quantities, the wines are highly sought after and very few reach the export market given their cult status in France. Wines to savour.
