有名なポムロールの台地にあるシャトー・ラフルール・ペトリュスはボルドー右岸の最も影響力のあるネゴシアン、エタブリスモン・ジャン・ピエール・ムエックス者の創設者、故ジャン・ピエール・ムエックスが1952年に購入し、現在もムエックス家が所有しています。畑はシャトー・ペトリュスのすぐ近くで、シャトー・ラフルールの畑にも隣接していることから、 ラフルール・ペトリュスという名前が付けられました。このアペラシオン内の全てのシャトーと同様に格付けはありませんが、トップクラスのシャトーとみなされており、ポムロールの最高峰とまではいかないものの、それに近いレベルの品質を保持しています。ムエックス社が所有するシャトー・ペトリュスやシャトー・トロタノワと同じように、エレガントで官能的かつ洗練されたスタイルで何十年にも渡り美しく熟成する能力を秘めています。
