ドイツ、ファルツのビルクヴァイラーに位置するドクター・ヴェアハイムのエステートは、1920年に設立され、以来最高品質のクラシックなドライワインを生産しています。現在、4代目のカール・ハインツ・ヴェアハイムが当主を務め、息子のフランツが補佐しています。
一家が所有する20haのブドウ畑は小さなエリア内に広がっていますが、土壌は粘板岩や砂岩、貝殻、石灰岩、頁岩と多様なテロワールを有しています。
エステートは持続可能な方法で管理されており、2010年ヴィンテージで完全なオーガニック認証を取得しました。2006年からはビオディナミを実践し、2017年にビオディナミ認証（respect-BIODYN）を取得しました。また、ドイツの厳しいVDP基準をクリアしており、卓越した品質を保証しています。
熟成に耐えうるテロワール重視のワインは、個性に溢れ、品種の上質な香りを印象づけます。

Located in the community of Birkweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, the Dr. Wehrheim estate was founded in 1920 and has been producing classically dry wines of the highest quality ever since. Today, it is headed by fourth generation Karl-Heinz Wehrheim who is assisted by his son Franz.
The family’s 20-ha of vineyards are spread across a compact area, yet the vineyards have diverse terroirs, with soils ranging from slate and sandstone to shell, limestone, and shale.
The estate is managed sustainably and was awarded full organic certification with the 2010 vintage. Biodynamic practices have been followed since 2006 and biodynamic certification (respect-BIODYN) was achieved in 2017. The wines also meet Germany’s strict VDP standards, which guarantee exceptional quality.
These age-worthy, terroir-driven wines are full of character and impress with a fine varietal aroma.
