ムルソーの中心に位置するゴヌー家のワイン造りの歴史は、1875年にまで遡ります。
1972年、ゴヌー家の2人の兄弟が家族のブドウ畑を分割し、それぞれ独自のドメーヌを設立しました。ジャン・ミシェル・ゴヌーはそのうちの一つで父親とともに約20年間働いた後、1990年に母方から受け継いだ畑をもとにドメーヌ・ジャン・ミシェル・ゴヌー・エ・フィスを設立しました。現在では息子のアンリがドメーヌに加わり、ワインメーカーとして活躍しています。
このドメーヌの畑の規模は非常に立派で、ムルソー、ポマール、ピュリニー＝モンラッシェ、ヴォルネイの村々に合計6ヘクタールを所有しています。そのうちムルソーには3つの一級畑（プルミエ・クリュ）を含みます：ペリエール（Perrières）、ジュヌヴリエール（Genevrières）、レ・グット・ドール（Les Gouttes d'Or）。
栽培品種はピノ・ノワールとシャルドネが半々で、認証こそ取得していないもののオーガニック農法で栽培され、テロワールへの敬意が何よりも重視されています。 栽培では「リュット・レゾネ（lutte raisonnée＝合理的な闘い）」と呼ばれる持続可能な方法が用いられ、不要な農薬の使用を避けています。収量を抑えるため、果実の成熟初期にグリーンハーベスト（間引き）を行い、残した選りすぐりの房を完熟させてから手摘み・手選別します。
セラーではアンリが伝統的な醸造法を守りつつ、極めて繊細なアプローチを取ります。圧搾は穏やかに行い、新樽の使用率は最大30％。すべてのワインは無濾過・無清澄で瓶詰めされます。
エレガントで洗練された、バランスの取れたワインは、ピュアな味わいと優れた熟成ポテンシャルを誇ります。

Situated in the heart of Meursault, the Gaunoux family’s winemaking history stretches back to 1875. In 1972, two Gaunoux brothers divided up the family’s vineyard parcels, creating two domaines. Jean-Michel Gaunoux worked with his father at one of these for nearly twenty years before establishing Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux et Fils in 1990, on vineyards inherited from his mother’s side of the family. Today, Jean-Michel’s son Henri has joined him at the domaine and is the winemaker.
Vineyard holdings are impressive, with six hectares in the villages of Meursault, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and Volnay, including three Premier Cru sites within Meursault: Perrieres, Genevrieres, and Les Gouttes d'Or. The plantings are equally divided between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The parcels are farmed organically (not certified) and respect for terroir is key. Sustainable practices include lutte résonnée - the “reasoned struggle” – by which the use of pesticides in the soil is avoided. Green harvesting (for low yields) is carried out at the beginning of the ripening season, with remaining choice bunches left to thrive on the vine before the fruit is hand-picked and hand-sorted. In the cellar, Henri employs traditional winemaking methods and a light hand. Pressings are gentle and the wines see a maximum of 30% new oak. All are bottled unfiltered and unfined.
