ヴォーヌ・ロマネの中心部に位置し、わずか3.26ヘクタールの畑を所有するこの家族経営のドメーヌは、20世紀初頭に創設されました。2004年からはジェラルド・カシューが当主を務め、すべてのワインを自家元詰めで丁寧に手造りしています。
小規模ながら、ドメーヌは地方（レジョナル）、村名、プルミエ・クリュの各格付けにわたり、7つの主要キュヴェを生産しています。樹齢の高い古木が多くを占める畑は、エシェゾー（グラン・クリュ）やロマネ・サン・ヴィヴァン（グラン・クリュ）など、ブルゴーニュ屈指の伝説的な区画に隣接する、垂涎の小区画（ミクロ・パーセル）で構成されています。
ジェラルドは除草剤や化学農薬を一切使用しない、総合的かつ持続可能な栽培を実践しています。ドメーヌは、生物多様性と環境への取り組みを評価するフランス農業省の厳格な認証「HVE（環境価値重視認証）」を正式に取得しています。
ブドウはすべて手摘みで収穫され、畑で厳しく選果されます。100%除梗の後、天然酵母のみによる自然発酵を行います。ジェラルドは色素とタンニンを穏やかに抽出し、新樽の使用を抑制的に管理することで、樽香の上品な調和を図ります。SO2の添加は必要最小限にとどめ、清澄・濾過を行わずに瓶詰めされます。
出来上がるワインはモダンなスタイルで、繊細な造り込みと、ビロードのような質感、そして生き生きとした果実の純粋さが際立っています。
Located in the heart of Vosne-Romanée and spanning just 3.26 hectares, this family domaine was founded in the early 20th century. Since 2004, it has been headed by Gérald Cacheux, who hand-crafts premium wines entirely under the family label.
Despite its tiny footprint, the domaine produces a diverse range of seven core cuvées across regional, village, and Premier Cru levels. Featuring a high concentration of old vines, the vineyard plots are characterized by highly coveted, micro-parcels bordering some of Burgundy’s most legendary estates, including Échezeaux (Grand Cru) and Romanée-Saint-Vivant (Grand Cru).
Gérald employs integrated, sustainable viticulture, with no herbicides or chemical pesticides used. The domaine is officially certified High Environmental Value (HVE), a rigorous French agricultural distinction recognizing biodiversity and ecological strategy.
The grapes are entirely hand-harvested and rigorously sorted in the vineyard. They undergo 100% destemming, and fermentation occurs naturally using only indigenous yeasts. Gérald favours a gentle approach to extracting colour and tannin and a disciplined approach to new oak to ensure refined integration. SO2 additions are kept to an absolute minimum, and the wines are bottled without undergoing fining or filtration.
The resulting wines are in a modern style – finely detailed, with a focus on velvety texture and vibrant fruit purity.
