プロヴァンスの中心部、オリーヴ畑やブドウ畑、森に囲まれたコランと呼ばれる小さな村にシャトー・ミラヴァルは位置しています。ミラヴァルは中世において修道院だった歴史があり、ブルボン朝の王たちの隠れ家でもありました。さらに近年では、レコーディング・スタジオとなり、ピンク・フロイド、スティングやシャーデーなどといったアーティストたちに愛されています。ザ・クランベリーズやジプシー・キングもこのスタジオを永らく使っており、数々のレコーディングを行っています。
2009年、ブラッド・ピットとアンジェリーナ・ジョリーがワイナリーを購入し、シャトー・ド・ボーカステルで有名なペラン・ファミリーもシャトー・ミラヴァルのプロジェクトに参画することになりました。ミラヴァルの土地のテロワールを最大限生かしたワインを作るために、2つのファミリーは畑やワイナリーへの投資を惜しみませんでした。高い標高と冷涼な気候は、ライトでエレガントなスタイルにつながっていきます。
ミラヴァルといえば凝縮度の高い、フリンティで花の香が立つロゼが有名ですが、ミラヴァルのすべてのワインは、美しい色合いと、プロヴァンスの洗練とエレガンスが表現されています。

Nestled in a secluded valley near the ancient village of Correns in the heart of Provence, and surrounded by woods, olive groves and vineyards, Château Miraval was the site of a monastery in the Middle Ages, and thereafter a refuge for the Bourbon kings. More recently, it has been a recording studio, with the likes of Pink Floyd, Sting, Sade, The Cranberries and The Gipsy Kings recording some of their finest work here over the years.

The château made headlines in 2009 when it was purchased by actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who subsequently joined forces with the the Perrin family of the renowned Château de Beaucastel to launch the Château Miraval wine brand. The families together have invested deeply in the vineyards and estate with the aim of producing the very best wines the terroir can produce. The higher altitude and cooler sites of the vineyard lead to light, fresh and elegant style of wines.
Best known for its intense, flinty, petal-pink rosés, all the wines in the Miraval range are inspired by the colour and light of Provence, exuding refinement and elegance.

Now considered a superstar winery in its own right. Chateau Miraval produces some of the finest and most sought after roses in Provence.
