ガーデン・ガリー・ヴィンヤードはヴィクトリア西部のグレート・ウェスタンに位置している畑。1890年頃に、リースリング、シラーが植えられ、オーストラリアでも最古の部類に入る樹齢を誇ります。鉄分の豊富な母岩の上に広がる赤い粘土の土壌は、コンコンゲラの地の典型的な土壌です。
The Garden Gully vineyard, situated in the Great Western region of Western Victoria, was planted somewhere around 1890, making it one of the oldest Riesling and Syrah vineyards in the country. These are gnarly old bush vines growing in a depleted soil consisting of red dusty clay over ironstone - the classic Concongella soil profile.

このシラーはシリアスな味わいです。低収量でどのヴィンテージにおいても凝縮した果実の香りを持ち、リラックスできるような豊かさがあります。赤いベリーやラム肉、リコリスやハーブのアロマを持っています。長期熟成にも向いたワインです。
The Syrah from here is serious stuff. Low yielding, always concentrated fruit and effortless power. Defining characteristics are red berries, saltbush lamb, salted dutch licorice and Italian herbs. Wines from this vineyard can go for the long haul
