Founded in 1993 by film star and New Zealand native Sam Neill, Two Paddocks is a boutique producer of premium, single-vineyard pinot noir and riesling located in Central Otago, the southernmost wine-growing region of New Zealand. Growing from an initial tiny 5-acre holding in the Gibbston Valley, the estate now owns four beautiful vineyards in the region, with plots in all three of its great valleys - Gibbston, the Alexandra Basin and the Cromwell Basin.
With a focus on organics, quality and authenticity, Two Paddocks is dedicated to producing sustainable, ecologically sound wine, and Sam’s passion for caring for the land is evident throughout the entire operation. All the estate’s vineyards are organic-certified and biodynamic techniques are practiced, encouraging soil and vine health. Winemaker, Dean Shaw, is one of Central Otago’s most experienced and has worked with Sam since 1998, crafting a stunning range of wines renowned for their understated precision and finesse.
