1639年、アルザスのリクヴィールに創業したファミーユ・ヒューゲルは13代続く由緒正しきワイナリー。現在に至るまで100％家族経営を貫いています定番の黄色いラベルにフードフレンドリーなヒューゲルのワインは今や世界120か国を超える国で愛されています。

ヒューゲルは ”The wine is already in the grape” 「ワインの品質は、100％ブドウそのものによる」とういう黄金律を信条にワイン造りの歴史を刻んできました。リクヴィールの村に30haの畑を所有し、その殆どはグラン・クリュの格付けです。また、ブドウの買い付けも行っており、ヒューゲルにブドウを供給する栽培農家の畑は合計100ha以上。ヒューゲル所有の畑と同様に、粘土石灰質の土壌からブドウは造られます。

ヒューゲルワインは、ゲヴェルツトラミナー、リースリング、ピノ・グリ、ミュスカ、ピノ・ブランなど品種の個性と特徴を忠実に表現しています。

ファミーユ・ヒューゲルはアルザスにおけるヴァンダンジュ・タルディヴやセレクション・ド・グラン・ノーブルなどの遅摘み甘口ワインのパイオニアであり、甘口ワインを収量制限する法律の草案を手掛けたアルザスを代表する生産者でもあります。ヒューゲルのラインナップは多彩で、単一区画のグラン・クリュから遅摘みのヴァンダンジュ・タルディヴ、貴腐菌のブドウを用いたセレクション・ド・グラン・ノーブルまで醸造しています。

Founded in 1639 in picturesque Riquewihr, Alsace, Famille Hugel remains 100% family-owned and is today managed by the 13th consecutive generation. With their distinctive yellow labels, food friendly Hugel wines are known the world over, and are currently exported to more than 120 countries.

The Hugel philosophy is simple - the wine is already in the grape. The family owns an impressive 30 hectares of prime vineyard sites in Riquewihr, mostly classed Grand Cru. It also buys fruit from a further 100 hectares farmed by partner growers who have the same clay and limestone dominated soils. The Hugel estates are planted exclusively with the noble Alsace grape varieties, with vines averaging 35 years of age. All grapes are carefully hand-picked.

Hugel wines express the pure varietal character of Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat and Pinot Blanc.

The family pioneered late-harvest Alsace wines, Vendange Tardive and Sélection de Grains Nobles and also drafted the law that governs their production, born out of respect for these extraordinary wines and a determination to guarantee quality and authenticity. Theirs is a superior line-up - from the dry and spritely site-specific Grand Cru’s to the best Vendange Tardive wines made from late-harvested grapes, and the Selection de Grains Nobles which utilizes noble rot.
