Pinot Noir opens with concentrated red fruit, floral notes, and citrus peel followed by tangy spice, Bing cherry, juicy dark raspberry, and dried herbs. A rich, opulent wine with sumptuous layers of blackberry jam, lavender and earthy forest floor throughout the palate to a lingering finish.

建設業から始まったジョセフ・フェルプスは1972年、カリフォルニアのセントヘレナ近郊、スプリングヴァレーにその名を冠したワイナリーを設立しました。大切に育てられたブドウ畑は、起伏のある広大な牧場やオークの森といった豊かな自然に囲まれています。多くの品種を栽培するフェルプス社はバッカス・ヴィンヤード・カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン、そしてカルフォルニアで最も芳醇で深い味わいを持つインシグニアを世に送り出し世界的に高い評価を得ています。
Joseph Phelps, who spent his early years as a working member of a farm family, founded the winery and vineyards which bears his name in 1972. This carefully brought up the vineyard, situated in Spring Valley near St. Helena, is surrounded by undulating cattle farms, oak forests, and abundant nature.
Long known for his innovative spirit and passion for quality, Joseph Phelps pioneered a number of “firsts” in the early years of the winery. The 1974 Insignia, released in the spring of 1978, was the first Bordeaux-style blend produced in California under a proprietary label. Varietals produced at Phelps include Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Backus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Insignia which due to its smooth mellowness and deep flavors, is recognized as one of the top icon wines from the Napa region.
