クウォーツ・リーフ
セントラル・オタゴのサブリージョンであるベンディゴに、ニュージーランドワイン・メーカー・オブ・ザ・イヤーの栄誉に2度も輝いたルーディー・バウワーが1996年設立。ブドウ畑の下に広がるニュージーランド最大の石英地層(クウォーツ・リーフ)をワイナリー名に冠し、1862年当時金採掘で有名だったこの地をワイン有名産地に引き上げた先駆者で、30ヘクタールの畑はバイオグロによりオーガニック認定を、デメテールによりバイオダイナミック認定を受けています。
Sitting in a prime location as the pioneer of Bendigo, sun-drenched Quartz Reef Estate vineyard is BioGro certified organic and Demeter certified biodynamic. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with a respectful and non-interventive philosophy, combined with the vision of Rudi Bauer to express their sense of place. Quartz Reef produces Estate Grown Methode Traditionnelle Non-Vintage and Vintage, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir. All Quartz Reef wines benefit greatly from Rudi Bauer’s Austrian heritage exploring the many dimensions of the varieties.
